Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in America and is an actress who has worked professionally for 27 years. Talented as a thespian, she's been active in the professional world since the past 27. She began her career in 1990, in a non Broadway production of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. She was then cast for her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. She was cast as an actor supporting the character the movie Basic Instinct. It marked the beginning of her impressive professional career. In the film The Firm however that she was cast as the female lead for the first time and that too opposite stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s her career was a collaboration with Hollywood's top stars such as Gwyneth as in Sliding doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes, and Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recently, she was the character Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
